Bolton and Middlesbrough learned who might be their likely opponents in the group phase of the Uefa Cup after pools for Tuesday's draw were announced
Uefa rules states no clubs from the same country or the same pool can be drawn together in the group stages. The clubs will be drawn in eight groups consisting of five clubs. Three top clubs will advance to the third knock-out round where they will be joined by eight third-placed teams from Uefa Champios league group stages. Bolton could be grouped with Monaco or Lens, while Middlesbrough's possible opponents are Vfb Stuttgart and Roma. The draw will take place at UEFA headquarters in Switzerland on Tuesday at 12.00 CET.
