Chelsea are nine points clear at the top of the Premiership table after convincing 4-1 win against Liverpool at Anfield. Frank Lampard scored the opener in the 27th minute from the penalty spot after Djimi Traore fouled Didier Drogba.
Steven Gerard equalized nine minutes later on John Arne Riise's corner. Drogba served the ball to Damien Duff to put Chelsea back in front three minutes from half-time. Drogba's brilliant performance continued into second-half. Liverpool's appeal were turned down in the 63rd minute after Drogba's surging run ended in ta pass with for Joe Cole who scored third for Chelsea.
Substitute Geremi scored the fourth on Drogba's pass eight minutes from time. Chelsea is now nine points clear on the top and 17 points ahead of Liverpool - the worst season start for Reds in 13 years.
