Henry to miss north London derby

Friday,28 October 2005Thierry Henry

Arsenal striker Thierry Henry suffered recurrence of a groin injury and  he is likely to miss this weekend's north London derby against fierce rivals Tottenham.

Henry was out for 6 weeks and returned to the Gunners squad in the Champions League match against Sparta Prague with two goals and a new Arsenal alltime scoring record ahead of Ian Wright. Although he was brought from the bench in the game against Sparta he also played full 90 minutes in the Premiership match against Manchester City four days later.

Apperently it was to much of strain for the 28-year old Frenchmen and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger confirmed on Friday that Hery will not be fit for Saturday's derby. Henry's future at Arsenal is also in doubt amid media reports that he could join Spanish giant Barcelona next summer.
