Sol Campbell scored twice for Arsenal to give the Gunners 2-0 win over Everton. The match was first thet Campbell started this season.
Campbell scored two first-half headers, both of them after he was passed the ball from Jose Antonio Reyes free-kicks. The opener came after only 11 minutes, while the second was headed home in the 30th minute of the game. In addition Robin van Persie hit the post for Arsenal, while Freddie Ljungberg struck the crossbar. Everton displayed poor performance in this match as it is true for the beginning of this season. They have recorded only three points in five Premiership matches and scored only one goal.
Everton also lost last week their Uefa Cup match 5-1 to Dinamo Bucharest.
