Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse scored twice to help Liverpool win Uefa Super Cup against CSKA Moscow. Cisse came of the bench in the 79th minute and scored equaliser within three minutes. Daniel Carvalho scored the opener for CSKA in 28th minute. The regular time ended in 1-1 draw, and Cisse was a star of extra time. He scored the second for Reds in the 103rd minute after a long ball from Dietmar Hamann. Cisse served the perfect pass to Luis Garcia who headed home to seal Liverpool's win in the 109th minute.
While only last week the Cisse's future at Liverpool looked uncertain, tonight's performance will build a strong case for a place in the team. Liverpool's poor performance in attack will further fuel speculations about Michael Owen's return to Anfield.
