Liverpool and Chelsea have been drawn in the same group of the Champions League first phase of the competition. They will also have to face Real Betis and Anderlecht.
Manchester United is grouped with the Spanish side Villareal, which eliminated Everton in the third qulifying round, double winner Benfica and French team Lille. Arsenal is likely to progress to the next stage. The Gunners share their group with Ajax, Sparta Prague and Swiss team Thun. Rangers will have much harder job against Inter Milan, defending champion Porto and Slovakian side Artmedia.
