Liverpool have sold Miran Baros to Aston Villa for £6.5 million fee subject to a medical. The French side Lyon made £8.5 million offer for Baros, but the Czech international preferred to play in the Premiership and agreed to join Aston Villa. Baros will travel to Birmingham Monday night to attend the medical, and he is due to sign the four-year contract on Tuesday. His move to Villa Park was linked to Norberto Solanos relocation to Anfield, however that part of the deal has not been confirmed.
Baros was competing for the place in Liverpool's team with Djibril Cisse, Fernando Morientes and Peter Crouch. Last season he was Liverpool's joined top scorer with 13 goals.
