Manchester United started new Premiership season with an impressive away win at Goodison Park. United dominated for the most part of the match.
Ruud van Nistelrooy scored two minutes from half-time on John O'Shea's cross. Wayne Rooney increased United's lead 27 seconds into the second half. Rooney, who moved from Everton to United in august 2004 was often booed by his former club supporters. Everton played with the five players in midfield, the formation that worked well in the last season. while United played in 4-3-3 formation.Altough United dominated the match, Everton created several chances but failed to score.
Manchester United wont the first three away points in the new Premiership season, an indication they will be serious contenders for Premiership title.
