Everton have signed Manchester United defender Phil Neville . Neville signed a five year contract worth more than £3 million after passing a medical.
Neville will be eligible for Everton's Champions League third qualifying round match against Spanish team Villareal. The first leg will be played at Goodison Park on Tuesday.
Neville started his football career at Manchester United together with his brother Garry. The 28-year-old full back spent 10 years at Old Trafford, winning six Premiership titles, three FA cups and the Champions League.
After starting only twelve matches for United last season, Neville decided it is right time to move.
