Rangers started defence of the Scottish champions title they won last year, with a convincing 3-0 win against Livingston.
Croatian international Dado Prso scored the opener in the 23rd minute of the first half. Livingston's goalkeeper Roddy McKenzie stopped Alex Rae's volley, but Prso sent the rebound past the goalkeeper to put Rangers one up.
Jose Pierre-Fanfan scored the second in the 53rd minute after picking Peter Lovenkrands' cross deflected by Livingston's defence.
Danish striker Lovenkrands scored the third in injury time to give Rangers 3-0 win in their opening match.
Livingston's player Brittain was sent off 16 minutes from time. |
