Despite recent controversy regarding Cole's contact with Chelsea, Ashley Cole has decided to sign one year contract extension with Arsenal. Cole was fined by FA £100,000 for unauthorised contacts with Chelsea.
Arsenal defender's contract is due to expire next summer.
New contract terms have been agreed, that include weekly wage increase to £70,000 from current £30,000.
Ashley Cole has expressed his wishes to stay at Arsenal.
Cole has appealed against the FA fine. The independent panel will consider his appeal in August.
