Everton is targeting Newcastle's striker Craig Bellamy in a bid to strengthen the team for the Champions League.
Although they made Bellamy the top target, Everton is also trying to sign Totenham's striker Robby Keane and Crystal Palace's striker Andy Johnson. Everton lost the race to sign Chelsea's midfielder Scott Parker, while Mikael Forssell's transfer failed on medical grounds.
Simon Davies's signing from Tottenham Spurs is the most important transfer so far. Newcastle put the price tag of 6 million pounds for Bellamy, but it is likely they will have to settle for less.
