The Gunners will resume new contract talks with defender Ashley Cole next week when Cole returns from holiday. Arsenal have not met Cole's demands and the player has expressed his disappointment.
However, Cole's future has been on the agenda of the Arsenal board meeting, and the Gunners plan to make a new offer.
Cole was fined 100,000 pounds by the FA following so called "tapping up" affair. FA also fined Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho £200,000 and Chelsea FC 300,000 pounds over the same incident for breaching Premiership rules.
