A number of Birmingham fans signed up for an online petition protesting Lee Bowyer's move from Newcastle to Birmingham. They cite Newcastle midfielders troublesome past as the reason why Bowyer transfer should be abandoned.
Lee Bowyer fought his team mate Kieron Dyer during the match against Aston Vila in April.
He is expected to leave St. James's Park and Birmingham was widely tipped to sign him up for the next season.
The Blues officials have expressed great disappointment over the action of what they call a "small minority of fans.
