Owen ponders leaving Real Madrid

Monday, 13 June, 2005

Real Madrid's and England's striker Michael Owen is weighing his options after Real Madrid decides to strengthen the team.

Michael Owen moved from Liverpool to Real in August 2004. He did not have a secured place in the squad.

In the 2004-2005 season Owen scored 16 times. Although Real Madrid claims they are satisfied with his performance, Owens's place in the first team is not guaranteed for the next season.

It is believed that number of Premiership clubs have shown interest in Real Madrid's striker.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been linked with Michael Owen.
