Laurent Robert is joining Bolton Wanderers in a transfer worth £1.5 million - 8 million less then the price Newcastle paid for him.
He is expected to sign a contract tomorrow if he passes a medical. In a gesture that was seen as a goodbye to the Newcastle supporters Robert finished last season by stripping to his underwear and giving his kit to the supporters.
After Newcastle's last game of the season he confirmed that was his last game at St James' Park.
As a Bolton player Robert will have opportunity to appear in European competitions.
